Prioritise- Take a close look at your priorities. If your very important other-half falls second or third on your list of priorities your marriage will encounter problems sooner rather than later. Work and children may take-up a lot of your time and attention, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as your partner feels loved and still on top of your priority list it will be an absolute song for you to follow the rules and tips on how to save marriage.
Time- Time is very limited in these fast paced times. However it is absolutely imperative that time is allocated especially for your better half, even if it requires making an appointment a couple of days or weeks in advance. During these times the couple should do things that both enjoy. Chat freely and openly. Steer clear from confrontations and fights, which make the time more of a burden than pleasure.
Look after yourself- Marriage doesn’t have to mean wearing a sack and smelling like old socks. If you feel and look good, your spouse will feel proud and much more attracted to you. Nothing is as great as rekindling those funny, familiar, forgotten feelings you had when you first met. Loose a little weight and eat healthily. Buy his or her favourite aftershave or perfume and apply generously. Put on that sexy outfit and remember the clean underwear or even no underwear. Mmm, makes you think hey?
Reliability- Reliability, trust and dependability is essential for a healthy marriage. Trust takes time to build, often years. Should something happen to break trust chances are very good that it will take even longer to regain. We all need someone to lean on and trust. If cannot trust your spouse, who can you trust?
No one is perfect- Forgive and forget little mistakes and leave things from the past exactly where they are-in the past. No one is perfect. You are not a perfect spouse, how on earth can you expect your husband or your wife to be? Your expectation should be positive and within your partners’ reach.
Small things in life- It is the small things in life that are most special. Think about small things that you can do to make your other half feel good or his or her life easier. Write a little thank you note and add it to his or her lunchbox. Bring your spouse coffee in bed, do the dishes or wash the car without being asked to. By only pay a little attention you will naturally know how to save marriage.
